Nicki is a regionally certified coach from the AB/NWT/NUN section. She has been coaching group programs for 6 seasons and StarSkaters for 1. Nicki’s two core values as a coach is to 1) create a safe and creative space for skaters to foster their love of skating and learning and 2) being adaptable, both to skaters, parents and team members in order to help skaters achieve their goal. She believes developing the person underneath the athlete is as important as developing the athlete themselves. And that the health of any athlete should encompass both their mental and emotional wellbeing alongside their physical. Nicki has a deep rooted passion for figure skating from the confidence it helped her develop and the learning opportunities it gave her growing up. She hopes to help others find a similar experience in this sport.

Nicki is a graduate of the University of Alberta in Environmental and Conservation Sciences. Aside from coaching she also works as a Data Manager at the Simon Fraser University.
