Volunteering at Burnaby Skating Club

As a non-profit organization, Burnaby Skating Club (BSC) is run and managed by a group of volunteers, including the BSC Board and skaters' families.

Volunteer work is essential to the quality and success of our Club, and to your child's experience here. No Prior experience is required. Volunteering is a great opportunity to learn about the sport of figure skating, how the Club runs, as well as a fun way to meet other Club members and have a good time while helping out.

Skaters registered in Bronze B and higher levels are required to submit the deposit thru uplifter when registering at any time during the current skating year (ie.September 1, 2025, to August 15, 2026).

Volunteer Deposit:

Members will receive an invoice of $200 through Uplifter (registration site) to be paid at the time of registration.

The number of hours is per immediate family (member), not per skater, and is based on the highest skater designation in the family and as below:

skater designation minimum volunteer

Silver 15 credits
Gold 15 credits

It is the responsibility of parents to ensure they fulfill the minimum required credits.
