Introduction to Figure Skating
FS Fundamental | FutureSTAR
FS Fundamental and FutureSTAR programs are group programs designed for skaters new to figure skating. Participants are encouraged to skate a minimum of twice a week.
FS Fundamentals (FSF) Age Guide line: 4-6yrs
Prerequisites
- interested in figure skating
- CanSkate level 3-4
FutureSTAR (FS)
Age Guide line: 6-9yrs
Prerequisites
- interested in figure skating
- Forward, Backward skating
- Stop, Bunny Hop
- CanSkate level 5-6
An Invitation or Audition is Mandatory prior to registering. Assessments are valid for 4 months.

- Figure skates
- Hard Guards
- Soft Guards
- Cloth to wipe skates
- Sneakers or Runners
- Skipping rope
- Water Bottle
Skating Attire
- Athletic clothing (form fitting)
- Gloves (cotton)
- Hair neatly tied and cliped away from face
- Layered clothing is recommended
